Bath Start-Up's 'Cool' New Business Idea

Bath based business Coba Cocktails are set to launch a line of classic cocktails with a twist.

From a cosmopolitan to a margarita, all of Coba Cocktails' classics will be frozen, and served in a new and innovative way.

All of the cocktails are made in the traditional fashion using premium sprits and fresh fruit which are then frozen in the classic ice lolly shape.

The idea for Coba Cocktails came about when Founder, Crispin Shingler, was working as a mixologist  and realised that the way we serve good quality cocktails at events hasn’t changed, and it was about time for something new...and so Coba Cocktails was born.

Coba Cocktails are already being noticed on the events scene, and catching the attention of brides who are after something unique and stylish for their big day. Hen parties are loving the idea of cocktail ice lollies as part of their festivities and people organising summer events are loving the idea of an easy way to serve proper cocktails. 

Crispin says “My Fiancée Suzi and I are getting married in May just outside of Bath and we know that there is nothing like Coba Cocktails available for couples who want to do things a bit differently. From our wedding planning we’ve gotten to know the local wedding scene which is vibrant and diverse and we hope that as a local business Coba Cocktails will be welcomed this summer.”

There are six classic cocktail ice lollies to choose from: Coba Margarita, Coba Cosmo, Coba Gin Fix, Coba Moscow Mule, Coba White Russian and Coba Caipirinha. You can also work with Coba Cocktails to create your own cocktail ice lolly for your event.  There is also a mocktail range, non-alcoholic, made with the same passion and flair as the cocktails. 

As well as the traditional ice lollies, Coba Cocktails are served as ice poles, known as Coba Longs.  These are great at weddings and events when the music has started up and people have the impulse to get up and dance without having to leave their drink behind.  Coba Cocktails also come as canapés which are "bite sized" cocktail ice lollies.  Cocktail canapés are a brand new concept, which work really well at events as a palate cleanser between savoury and sweet canapés, and something guests would never have seen before.

All cocktail ice lollies are delivered to your venue in specialist freezing equipment and freezers are available to hire for any event. The cocktail ice lollies can also be delivered directly to your house to be put straight into your freezer.
