Meet our latest TGt Meets...Yaz, the area manager of AQUA Bath. We asked her all things food, life at AQUA and why we should all book a table to try some of their sensational creations.
Tell us a little bit about your role at AQUA?
My role is to go around the sites and make sure we are delivering the perfect service day in and day out.
What persuaded you to pursue this career?
It is in my blood, my parents & grandparents, cousin’s & aunties are all in the industry. I grew up above a restaurant & have worked in my family restaurant since a young age so it just felt natural.
Do you find it hard to manage the demands of a popular restaurant?
Always, the industry is forever changing and we have to stay relevant and be at the top of our game consistently.
What three things do you love about AQUA?
That it is independently owned by the Smithson family, the teams in our 4 sites and buzz & diversity of the busy restaurants.
I imagine there are times where your job can become very stressful. What are some of the things you do to help?
I thrive under stress so the pressure is something I enjoy.
What’s your favourite dish on AQUA’s menu?
Aqua’s duck 2 ways! Great with a side of tender stem broccoli & flaked toasted almonds
What can AQUA offer that other restaurants don’t?
I think Aqua’s point of different is personable fun and friendly service paired with locally sourced delicious food in a variety of locations to cater to any occasion.
