The Ten Tree Trail

Discover The Ten Tree Trail, a delightful collection of little Christmas trees which launches this week in the city of Bath. The trail is a Christmas activity for all the family and a fun way to explore the city as you discover the hidden clues.

There are ten trees, individually decorated by different businesses in the city for you to find.

Allison Herbert of Bath BID is pleased that the initiative has inspired local businesses to get creative for the festive season; “We discovered that our summer flower planters could be adapted to hold a Christmas tree and so got together with our BID business colleagues to come up with a seasonal way to welcome people to key areas of Bath.  We are very happy that the trees are adding a festive touch to the city.  Of course we hope that local families will enjoy discovering or rediscovering all the different corners of our beautiful city as they follow the Ten Trees Trail, and that people will take refreshments in our lovely cafes and restaurants and do some Christmas shopping from the fabulously diverse range of shops as they go round.”

Ribbons & trimming gurus VV Rouleaux have taken on the tree in Bartlett Street. The Bath Artisan Quarter team are leading the charge on two trees in Walcot Street – one at either end. Bath Festivals and The Paragon School have decorated the tree on Southgate Street. Metro Bank has put their festive flair to the tree adjacent to their store and the Stable have artistically presented a tree for Kingsmead Square. The Milsom Street tree has been bedecked by Jolly’s Department Store, the Saw Close tree has been decorated by the team at Century Casino and the one in St James Street by the team from the Bath Business Improvement District. The first tree ready is in the Upper Borough Walls and has been done by Nationwide Building Society.

Each tree has been decorated in the style of a well-known Christmas tune. The challenge is to guess all ten songs. Once you have collected all the answers, take a photo by one of the trees and post it on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram tagging @bathgiftcard #TenTreeTrail to be in with the chance to win a £25 Bath Gift Card.

You can get a paper copy of the Ten Tree Trail map from shops across the city or Nationwide Building Society or look out for our blue uniformed Welcome Ambassadors who will have copies with them.
