MATCH REPORT: Ebbsfleet United 1-0 Bath City

Bath City's run of league games without a win extended to four at the weekend due to their 1-o loss at Ebbsfleet on Saturday.

What makes matters worse is that Ebbsfleet solitary goal came via a deflection and to add insult to injury, Bath City missed a second-half penalty.

With 26 minutes played a Sam Deering shot, that did not look like it would cause Max O'Leary in the Bath goal many problems, deflected off George Rigg and into the back of the net.

O'Leary made an excellent save to deny Ebbsfleet's McQueen when he headed at goal to ensure it was just a one-goal deficit going into the half-time break.

Four minutes after the restart Bath had a golden opportunity to level the scores when they were awarded a penalty after Andy Watkins was brought down in the box, but the chance was not taken.

Marvin Morgan stepped up, but he was denied from 12 yards by Ebbsfleet stopper Nathan Ashmore who produced a top stop to keep Morgan out.

Bath pushed on late in the game, but Naby Diallo, Manny Monthe and Ryan Broom all failed to score as well-funded Ebbsfleet held on for the three points.
