Well, I am pleased to say that time seems to be flying by; I can't quite believe that I am now writing Week 4 of the Blog. What a celebration it will be when the Blog comes to an end as we will no longer be self isolating and I can spare you all my ramblings!
I wish everybody a Happy Easter and hope you still manage to get hold of a few chocolate eggs. Attached is a photo taken of me three years ago at Easter by The Trevi Fountain in Rome making a wish. I would like to teleport back and make a wish for health and safety to the World and an end to this horrid virus.
Thursday brought another round of clapping for the NHS and essential workers, this time accompanied by bells and banging of saucepan lids. How lovely that this is to become a weekly event.
I had another Skype interview for the Channel 4 programme and another one is lined up for this Thursday and weekly thereafter! The power of the Blog!
The weekend brought wonderful weather and I enjoyed sunbathing in the garden with endless cuppas while hubby mowed and weeded the garden! I also had a flutter and watched The Virtual Grand National but my horse fell at the first fence!
I felt I had won the lottery this week as Booking.com refunded the whole of my holiday apartment money (June in Majorca) with no cancellation fee.
The Ledger Challenge was inaugurated at the weekend. Each week one of the Ledgers (myself, hubby, daughter (Liz Hutchings of Total Guide to), son Duncan and daughter in law Fatima) must set a challenge for the others to complete. I started the challenge this week with the task of writing a poem and next week it will be Liz`s turn to set the challenge and so on. Happy to say everyone completed the challenge.
An email has just been received from someone in the village suggesting we put a soft toy/animal on our window sills at the weekend so the children having their daily walk with their parents can enjoy an Easter Hunt. I think this is a lovely idea.
I enjoyed the Queen`s broadcast to us all. What a wonderful monarch she is and long may she reign.
