Late Manny Monthe goal earns Bath City victory

Bath City got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Whitehawk, with Manny Monthe being the hero.

Monthe hit an 88th-minute winner to snatch all three points for Bath when it looked like they would have to setlle for one.

He seized on a parried shot by the Whitehawk keeper to smash Bath into the lead two minutes from time to keep up the Romans' impressive home record.

Bath are now unbeaten at home since early August and have won their last three at Twerton Park.

It was the second time the hosts had the advantage as Shaquille Hunter made it 1-0 with 22 minutes played.

Whitehawk hit back, however, eight minutes into the second half when Albi Llenga headed home.

But Bath found that late winner to keep up their promotion chase.
