MATCH REPORT: Welling United 3-1 Bath City

Bath City lost their third away match in their last four road trips due to a 3-1 scoreline at Welling United.

Adam Coombes gave Welling the lead in the 7th minute with a precise finish past Max O'Leary in the Bath goal soon after City lost Dan Ball to injury.

Coombes almost had a second shortly after seizing onto a poor back pass but O'Leary saved the shot well.

Bath capitalised on this and levelled the scores three minutes into the second half when ex-Bristol City midfielder Harry Artus nodded on a pinpoint delivery from a corner kick for 1-1.

Instead of giving Bath momentum though this only kicked Welling into gear and they regained the lead via a Coombes penalty.

Coombes, who was once on the books of Premier League giants Chelsea, slotted home from 12 yards to put Welling back into the lead after Christian Nanetti was fouled in the box by earlier hero Artus.

Welling sealed the points late on - Coombes this time being the provider as he set Harry Crawford on his way, who finished for 3-1.
