Rob Webber To Leave Bath Rugby And Join Sale Sharks

Bath Rugby have today confirmed hooker Rob Webber will leave the club at the end of the season, and will move up north to link up with Sale Sharks.

The hooker joined Bath in 2012, and has made 70 appearances in the Blue, Black and White since, as well as representing England, including in the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

“Rob has been a great servant for Bath in his time here and it was a tough decision,” said Mike Ford, Bath Rugby Head Coach.

“He’s an experienced and talented player, who I’m sure will be a strong asset for Sale. I’d like to thank him for all the hard work he’s put in, and wish him all the best for the future," Ford added.

Webber said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with Bath and I have learnt a lot being a part of this club.

"I have made some great friends along the way and I’d like to wish them all the best in the years to come both on and off the pitch. I'd also like to thank the coaches and support staff for all their efforts.

"It goes without saying that for the rest of my time here I’ll be 100% focused on making sure we finish the season the way we want to, and rewarding the superb Bath supporters," he added.
