Old Telephone Exchange to house students near Bath Spa University

An old telephone exchange building on Bath’s outskirts is set for a new life as student accommodation following planning approval from Bath & North East Somerset Council.

Located near Bath Spa University, the renovated building will host five student units, each with a cozy kitchen, living area, bathroom, and upstairs bedroom.

The sustainable site design prioritizes green transport, with no parking but access to nearby bus stops and bike routes.

Previously approved for redevelopment in 2011, this transformation gives new purpose to the vacant building, repurposing it to support student housing needs in the area.
