Jamie Martin's 2021 Summer Business Plans

Today we're talking to Jamie Martin who is the managing director and founder of Correct Careers Coaching which offers modern sales training and sales strategy to improve gross sales (sales team analysis, psychometrics, ICT used, materials & resources for selling, social media, etc).

May is the last month of Spring – how has Spring been for you so far?

Spring has been good – the weather is warmer, the lockdown is easing, and more businesses are operating again. I have been working with repeat clients, new clients and build relationships for the future.

What are your plans for the Summer – for your business and for you?

Summer plans are to focus on the distribution/advertising for our award-winning B2B Sales Training HR Consultants e-Learning course (link below). For me, I will enjoy doing activities again, such as swimming.

What are you most looking forward this summer which you had to step away from last summer? This can be business, personal or both.

It would be great to attend (in person) networking events/expos. This business activity is important for building new connections, identify businesses within the local market and develop existing relationships.

May is National Walking Month, and walking was an activity which was one thing we could do over the last 12 months.  Please share your walking experiences in recent years.

My family has dogs (three Cavalier King Charles spaniels and a chihuahua), walking these dogs have been a lot of fun. We will travel throughout the Wiltshire area to fields/forests to walk in different scenery.

Our dogs enjoy their walks and make me laugh from the funny things they do. One of them will run in to any mud/lake to get as dirty as possible and the xhihuahua will bark at every dog that walks past, even dogs that are 10 times the size!

Where is your favourite place to walk?

Stanton Fitzwarren

Can you name one day in May which is important for you in your business or in your personal life? Why is that date important?

May 15th is International Day of Families. Family is very important to my personal and business life. The support and memories we share are vital to well-being.

Are you attending (have you booked) any events at all for you as a business person, or for you personally that you are really looking forward to? Eg festivals, trade shows, concerts, theatre…

I work as a volunteer as an usher at the local theatre, I am looking forward to returning to the theatre again.

What’s your one top business tip to help others be positive about their business in May 2021?

Remember your previous business achievements and successes. You did it before, so you can do it again and more!

Tell us all one funny thing about you which we won’t know and you are happy to share (make us laugh!).

My eating habits are strange – condiments on everything! For example, my roast dinner will have apple sauce, bread sauce, cranberry sauce, mint sauce, horseradish, and a chutney. Spices include parsley, coriander, basil, steak/chicken/ Cajun spice.

Have you got any Spring services or special offers you’d like to mention?

Yes, my ‘Sales Psychology’ sales training programme, you can find out more about here.

The first three businesses to undergo this training with me personally via zoom will receive a 50% discount. The cost after discount being £35.00.
