Your Total Guide To business

Looking forward to Christmas!

By Jamie Martin, Managing Director of Swindon-based Correct Careers Coaching offering modern sales training (B2B) and sales strategy for business.

What does Christmas 2020 mean for you in your business?

Christmas is a time to enjoy the celebrations after a productive year. For me, during my Christmas break, I like to review my goals, analyse metrics, and reset strategy ready for the next year. Christmas is a time of giving – I like to provide offers to my clients and new customers during this time.

Or are you a business owner who thinks more of ‘autumn/winter’ rather than Christmas?

Generally, Autumn is busier for business, but I prefer Christmas – a good time to give back and strengthen client relationships.

In your business when do you start planning for Christmas?

This month I will start to plan for the Christmas season, i.e. book client lunches (as availability fills up quickly).

Will your business be operating differently during Quarter 4 2020?

Yes, my business will be operating in a different way during Quarter 4. My sales and social media training can be done virtually for teams/individuals; hence I can do this all year round. During Quarter 4, it is a great time for training and development in preparation for Quarter 1 the next year when business tends to spike.

Have you got any milestones you wish to share?

Within the last 12 months, I was delighted to receive the Best SME Sales Training Consultancy - South West England (2020) award.

Have you faced some challenges which have changed things for you?

Challenges have been mostly building new client relationships, due to businesses having various priorities to focus on internally during the pandemic.

Positives are that my business collaborated with another company to develop an eLearning B2B sales course.

How are you feeling generally about business in your community at this time?

I am feeling positive about the next steps. The business world and community are embracing change now realising a new normal may remain. Everyone is adapting, building synergy and exploring new ventures to continue productivity. Collaboration has proved to be pivotal for many. Here lies an opportunity for businesses to work with new clients/industry sectors, as well as supporting the local communities and global sustainability to focus on a stable future.

Any special offers you’d like to mention?

During December 2020, I will be offering 50% off for my pioneering sales psychology training programme. Below is recent feedback from a client regarding this:

"I had the pleasure of attending Jamie's Sales Psychology programme over Zoom during lockdown. I find it hard to think of when I had a more useful afternoon. Jamie's enthusiasm is infectious and his experience and expertise are freely shared during the session. I would not hesitate to recommend Jamie to anyone who wants to improve their approach to B2B sales for themselves or for their in house sales team."

And finally....

Stay positive, remain productive and enjoy Christmas!
