TGt Meets... Monique Grant, Goodness Grazers

In this TGt Meets interview we've been speaking to Monique Grant, Owner of Goodness Grazers, all about her business and the beautiful city of Bath!

Where is home and why?

Home is New Zealand, South Island. We began our life overseas 5 years ago for job opportunities.

Describe your business in one sentence…

A bespoke catering service that creates styled grazing platters and picnic boxes for any occasion.

What’s been your biggest achievement to date?

Business wise – starting! Just getting in and doing it. Getting those first initial clients was terrifying but when it is something you love, it is so much fun.

Life – living overseas away from ‘home’ for 5 years. I'm very grateful of our opportunities but being away from home comforts comes with its challenges. It has been amazing seeing different parts of the world and traveling to experience other cultures when we get the opportunity.

What are your professional goals?

Creating and building on a bespoke service in the Somerset area bringing enjoyment to people through local food. I would love to develop ourselves in Bristol in the future.

What do you think attracts business people to Bath?

How good is Bath?! It has something for everyone. I especially love the combination of rural Somerset come central city surroundings. Such a beautiful place to wander, the foodie scene is also a great excuse to have that ‘crucial’ business meeting catch up in the new café just down the road.

If you could do it all again, would you do anything differently?

I really don’t think so – Goodness Grazers is still such a new business so I am constantly learning. I love that! Finding things out for myself without having someone tell me and putting it into action is really rewarding!

How do you like to spend your time off?

I am a PE teacher so have always loved getting outdoors and being active and will try to work that in with my lifestyle where I can.

Where’s your favourite place to eat out in Bath?

That is tough! I love pizza – Bath Pizza Company is great. Noyas Kitchen has some beautiful Vietnamese creations.

Who’s your favourite Bath Rugby Player? (current or retired)

Trick question? I suppose I have to pick my husband... Paul Grant.

Describe Bath in 3 words…

Attractive. Vibrant. Delicious.
