Your Total Guide To lifestyle

Basic equipment of an airsoft player

Sport is not just about skills but also good quality equipment. In some sports disciplines, equipment is needed, to a greater or lesser extent, like for example: specialized footwear or clothing. It is no different in airsoft. In every shooting sport, the equipment is of great importance, because it ties directly to our results, as well as our comfort and safety. We have basic airsoft equipment, as well as additional accessories.

What do we need during an airsoft game?

Let's start by discussing the necessary airsoft equipment. The most important thing is, of course, the airsoft gun - its quality, precision and performance will determine our results during the game. We have many models to choose from: pistols, assault rifles, to machine gun and airsoft sniper rifles. They can be spring, electric or gas powered. The model we choose depends on our budget, shooting position and skills, but the most popular option is the electric powered assault rifle.

We will also need ammunition for the airsoft gun, which in this case are 6 mm BBs. They are available in plastic and biodegradable variants, which are environmentally friendly. Airsoft BBs vary in weight - they can be very light and weigh 0.20 grams, or even more than twice that. Their dimensions should be adjusted to the airsoft gun's muzzle velocity - the higher it is, the heavier the BBs should be.

Each player must also wear protective glasses or goggles. Without them, we will not be allowed to enter the game area and you must wear them throughout the whole game. Only special models whose ballistic protection has been tested are considered safe to use during an airsoft game. Our safety should be our first priority.

What else can we use for the game?

During an airsoft game, you can also use many other tactical equipment accessories. They provide us with comfort or allow us to better perform our tactical tasks. Camouflage allows for hiding from the enemies sight, so uniforms and headgear in camouflage are a popular choice. Tactical/military trousers, T-shirts or jackets are also much more functional, comfortable and durable. Many players also use tactical helmets and vests. Helmets provide additional protection and the vests can be used to carry around tactical accessories. For longer games, a backpack or a transport bag will also come in handy, in which we will be able to pack all our equipment.

Airsoft also uses a whole range of shooting accessories, such as sights, tactical slings and specialized lighting. Correctly selected equipment will have a positive impact on our performance in the game. The choice of additional equipment depends on the personal preferences of a specific player. There is no one right airsoft set, everyone builds it based on their needs.
