Bath College art students' work features in Fringe Arts Bath exhibition
Bath College creative students entered a competition to create a poster for the 2026 Fringe Arts Bath exhibition – an event that raises awareness of contemporary visual art in Bath.
Eowyn, a Graphic Design student at Bath College, was announced as the winner of the competition. Eowyn’s work, alongside other Bath College students, will feature in free exhibitions across the city from 22nd May to 6th June.
Fringe Arts Bath Festival 2026 features a mixture of international and local artists, using pop-up exhibitions, installations, and events in empty buildings, open spaces, or the city’s streets.
Students gain professional artistic experience beyond the classroom and improve their portfolios, while the event raises awareness of Bath’s growing artistic and creative community.
This year’s theme is “Permission to Touch”, making this art exhibition a rare opportunity to touch – and in some cases, take home – parts of the displays.
Arran Hodgson, Organiser of Fringe Arts Bath and Art & Design lecturer at Bath College, said, “I’ve organised the Fringe Arts Bath exhibition for 21 years. It’s a grassroots festival where anyone can come – any age or experience level. It’s important to support both established and unestablished artists in Bath.
Growing up in the city myself, there was always a strong focus on art, and the festival gives students the professional experience beyond the classroom, a form in which they can display their work.”
Anybody interested in supporting international and local creative talent can view the events page for exhibition open times and further information: Fringe Arts Bath - Events.
