Norton St Philip Foodhall Flourish at Farleigh Road Named Best in the UK

If you haven't yet discovered Flourish, it's one of those places that locals quickly wonder how they ever lived without. With two sites in the Bath and Bristol area - Glenavon Farm in Saltford and the newer Farleigh Road in Norton St Philip - Flourish is an independent foodhall and kitchen built around a simple idea: great food, done right.

You can drop in to shop for artisan produce, grab a freshly prepared meal in the kitchen, or pick up something special from the butchery counter. It's the kind of place that feels genuinely rooted in its community - dog-friendly, people-focused and quietly passionate about where its food comes from. And now, it's officially the best in the country.

The prestigious Farm Shop & Deli Retailer Awards 2026 took place last month in Birmingham, celebrating the best specialist food and drink retailers in the UK. These awards recognise the highest levels of service, product knowledge, initiative, innovation and community involvement.

Flourish at Farleigh Road, was a finalist for two categories and scooped up the nation-wide award for the ‘Best Food Hall and Kitchen’. Flourish also received ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Newcomer of the Year’ category.

The judges recognised Flourish as a business that champions British produce, sustainable sourcing and exceptional customer experience. Finalists were selected following a detailed judging programme and the final decision made from a mystery shopper visit in both the Foodhall and café.

Flourish at Farleigh Road opened its doors in November 2024, the sister site to Flourish at Glenavon Farm which opened in Saltford in 2021. In March 2025, Flourish opened its own Production Kitchen at Farleigh Road, supplying both sites with homemade scotch eggs, sausages rolls, sponge cakes, cookies and more using local ingredients. A people and planet-focused destination to eat and shop, Flourish offers a wide variety of artisan food and drink products plus a Kitchen serving freshly-prepared seasonal dishes for every diet, appetite and occasion.
