New to RE Leaders

An in-person training session for newly appointed Religious Education subject leaders, covering aims, faiths and worldviews, quality criteria and practical planning for improvement.

New to RE Leaders is an in-person event for anyone newly recruited to the role of RE Subject Leader or those who would like to refresh their understanding of the role.

Outcomes

• Understanding of the aims and purposes of Religious Education
• Basic understanding of the central beliefs of the six world faiths (and non-religious worldviews)
• Skills to judge RE teaching and learning using Ofsted (and SIAMS) criteria
• Ability to develop realistic models for assessment and monitoring progress in RE
• Ability to identify key issues from pupil work books
• Ability to audit provision and create a realistic action plan

Pricing: £100 per delegate (£55 for a further delegate from the same school/parish). Invoice issued before the event.
