Warleigh Weir
About: Warleigh Weir is often seen as one of the best wild swimming locations in the UK, and for good reason! This beauty spot is popular amongst strong swimmers and families, as the weir itself is shallow for the most part but you can swim out towards the deeper areas if you wish. There is also an ice-cream van on site so you could easily spend an afternoon here!
Parking: No parking on site. Visitors are encouraged not to park near the weir, and instead walk, cycle or get the bus.

Farleigh Hungerford, Frome
About: Farleigh Weir is a popular open swimming hub for experienced wild swimmers because they actually have a swimming club. Whether you’re visiting for a one-off swim on a hot day, or like to regularly practice your breaststroke, Farleigh Hungerford is ideal because they offer both memberships and pay as you swim options.

Vobster Quay
About: Vobster Quay is one of the UK’s best diving centres, so this is certainly a great place to get to grips with wild swimming. Despite it being a diving centre, Vobster Quay offers acres upon acres of fresh water to explore if you’d rather go off for a quiet swim and is very safe. Please note that you must be a member to swim here.
