The workshop develops a story from prompts and exercises into a complete, structured piece featuring a protagonist, a location, a set-up, a plot twist and an ending. Comprehensive accompanying notes are provided.

Schedule

• 10am–1pm: Structure; Character; Location; Dramatic event
• Lunch break: approx. 1pm–2pm
• 2pm–5pm: Reaction to dramatic event; Build-up toward the conclusion; Plotting, plot twists, pace and reader experience; Strong, fulfilling conclusion
