Write a Complete Story August 2026 is a full-day workshop led by writer and tutor Dominic from Creative Writer UK, designed to help words flow for both beginners and experienced writers.

The workshop focuses on exploring and practising the key ingredients needed to create a rich, compelling story. Participants do not need a story idea in advance; prompts and scenarios are provided to generate ideas which are developed throughout the day into a structured story featuring a protagonist, a location, a set-up, a plot twist and an ending.

Schedule

• 10am–1pm: Structure; Character; Location; Dramatic event
• Lunch break: approx. 1pm–2pm
• 2pm–5pm: Reaction to dramatic event; Build-up toward the conclusion; Plotting, plot twists, pace and reader experience; Strong, fulfilling conclusion
