Backyard Ultra 2026 (12hr)

Backyard Ultra 2026 (12hr) is an endurance running event in Bristol where participants attempt a 4-mile loop every hour for 12 hours, aiming to complete as many loops as possible.

Backyard Ultra 2026 (12hr) challenges runners to complete 4 miles every hour, on the hour, for 12 hours (up to 48 miles / 78km).

How it works

• One route loop completed every hour for 12 hours.
• Participants complete as many loops as possible.
• The first person back on hour/loop 12 is the winner.

A runner’s race ends if

• A loop is not completed within the hour.
• The runner does not start the loop on the hour.
• Pacing is used (no pacers allowed).

Route: Starts from Left Handed Giant Taproom, St Philips (road shoes recommended). No parking; public transport is recommended.

• Number pick-up from 6.45am (race start time info provided on the event page).
• Waiver to be signed on the day.
• Friends and family welcome to cheer.
• No refunds within 7 days of the event.
