Bath Marathon
The Bath Marathon is a two-lap trail marathon using the Two Tunnels Greenway and surrounding countryside, featuring long underground running sections and riverside and city-centre paths in Bath.
Bath Marathon – 15th August 2027
The Bath Marathon is a beautiful marathon making the very most of Bath city centre and surrounding historic countryside by following off-road trails in and around the city. The event is run on a 2-lap course (the Half Marathon is 1 lap), including the famous Two Tunnels Greenway and riverside trails.
Cut-offs: There is a 3-hour cut-off to complete the first lap (approximately 13.3 miles).
Runners begin on the Two Tunnels Greenway shared path along Linear Park, passing through Devonshire Tunnel (408m, well lit) and then Combe Down Tunnel (1672m), making this course the foot race with the longest underground section in Britain. The route continues via Tucking Mill viaduct, Monkton Combe, Dundas Aqueduct and the Kennet & Avon Canal, returning through Bath (including the river Avon and Pulteney Bridge area) before looping back to Linear Park for the second lap and the finish.
