Bath Rugby Announce Pre-Season Fixtures

Bath Rugby will host their first pre-season match for four years as the Blue, Black and White welcome Pro14 finalists Scarlets to the Rec on Friday 24th August 2018, kick-off 19:30

Scarlets will provide a good test for Todd Blackadder’s side, having made it to the semi-finals of the Champions Cup and final of the Pro14 last season. Bath fans will recall meeting the Welsh side in last year’s Champions Cup during the pool stages, with this sure to be another engrossing encounter between the two teams ahead of the new Premiership season, which kicks-off a week later.

Prior to that match, Bath will travel to the Scottish capital on Friday 17th August to take on Edinburgh Rugby. The Scottish side will feature in the Champions Cup for the first time since the 2013-14 season, after finishing an impressive third in their Pro14 conference. The fixture will also see Director of Rugby Todd Blackadder return to the side he captained and made 77 appearances for between 2001 and 2004.

Bath can also confirm they will be taking part in the Premiership Rugby 7s tournament at Franklin’s Gardens in Northampton on the 27th and 28th July, whilst the Academy will face their counterparts from Wasps on the 24th August.
