With just over six weeks to go until The Clash, which takes place on Saturday 8th April at Twickenham Stadium, Bath Rugby are preparing themselves for the biggest day of club rugby ever to be staged in London.

The Clash will see Bath Rugby host their home game against old foes Leicester Tigers in an epic Aviva Premiership showdown in south-west London, whilst on the northern side of the capital on the same day, Saracens and Harlequins will do battle at Wembley Stadium.

With attendance for the two events combined expected to exceed 140,000 rugby fans, this will be the biggest ever attendance for two games of Aviva Premiership rugby. With both the national rugby stadium and national football stadium being filled with club rugby supporters on the day, this is a truly unique opportunity to watch top flight club rugby in London that demonstrates the ever increasing popularity in the game.

Tarquin McDonald, Bath Rugby Managing Director said: “The day of The Clash is shaping up to be the most incredible day of club rugby. Never before have four clubs played two matches at such prestigious sporting venues as part of regular league games, and it’s fitting that the latest incarnation of our historic rivalry with Leicester Tigers will be staged at one of the most iconic rugby venues in the world.

“We are excited to showcase the Club and the best of the West Country to all our travelling supporters, and also to those based in the South East who might not be able to watch Bath play as often as they might like. We have prepared a wonderful day of family entertainment in addition to the action on the pitch, and we’ve worked hard to ensure the ticket prices are affordable to make this a truly fantastic experience for all our supporters.”

Todd Blackadder, Director of Rugby at Bath Rugby added: “The 8th April will be an exciting day for all four clubs and as a team we are delighted to have been given this opportunity to play at Twickenham. The big game experience will be invaluable for our squad of players who we want to get used to competing on the big stages. We intend to make the stadium a home-away-from home for the day, and the many tens of thousands of fans joining us will help create the most incredible atmosphere any of us will ever have been part of at club level.”

This is the first time that Bath Rugby has staged one of its games away from the Recreation Ground in Bath, and will give rugby fans across London and the South East a chance to watch top class rugby at Twickenham Stadium and enjoy a whole range of fun, family activities at an affordable price.

Ticket prices for The Clash start at just £5 for juniors and £15 for adults, with a family of four being able to enjoy this fantastic day out for as little as £40.
