Ben Tapuai joins Bath Rugby

Bath Rugby have today confirmed the signing of Ben Tapuai from Western Force.

The 27-year-old Australian has made seven caps for his country since 2011 and scored 22 points in 12 games for the Force.

Tapuai is naturally a centre, but can also be deployed in the 13 role.

On his move, Tapuai said:  “I can’t wait to get over to Bath and start this next stage of my career. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the set-up there, and the way they are looking to play the game, and I’m looking forward to experiencing a different league and helping to push the club forward.”

Director of Rugby, Todd Blackadder, added: “We’re really excited to have Ben join us. He’s a really good all-rounder, which will be a great boost for us, and the experience he has of international and Super Rugby will bring a new way of looking at things, and will really help develop our young midfield players. ”
