Cardiff against Bath "will be England vs Wales like it always is" according to Toby Booth

Bath Rugby's first team coach Toby Booth has joked that Cardiff vs Bath will always be treated as an England vs Wales situation, regardless of how many Welshmen ply their trade at the Recreation Ground.

Speaking ahead of the first of back-to-back European Challenge Cup matches against the Cardiff Blues, Booth is well aware of the extra connotations of Bath playing Cardiff.

"If you look at the press this week it's been obvious they're smarting a bit from how they've been going, especially at home, (we're) expecting a big reaction there," Booth said

"Obviously on Saturday afternoon, whether we like it or not, it'll be England vs Wales like it always is, irrespective of how many Welsh players we've got," he joked.

"From that point of view we know what's coming, without doubt, and that's the challenge. The greatest challenge for us is being on it because they're certainly going to be on it.

"The balance of being on it and being clear and accurate so that's the challenge beyond all else we face this week."
