A one-lap half marathon around Cheddar Gorge and Beacon Batch, the highest point on the Mendip Hills. The route is very hilly with extensive trail running and exceptional views.

UTMB Index Race: The Cheddar Gorge Challenge course is included as a UTMB Index race for Half Marathon (20km Index) distance.

Price: £46

Minimum age: 17

Course highlights: The route includes the Hell Steps climb, ridge running, historic mining landscapes, Beacon Batch ascent to 325m, and multiple road crossings marshalled for safety.

Feed stations: Approximately 4 feed stations over about 13.2 miles, with around 600m of height change.
