Cheddar Gorge Marathon

A two-lap marathon trail race around Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills featuring major climbs, Hell Steps twice, and a demanding endurance course.

Event: Cheddar Gorge Marathon

The Cheddar Gorge Marathon is a two-lap course taking in the biggest and most scenic climbs around the Mendip Hills and Cheddar Gorge. The route includes historic mining landscapes, World War II bunkers, wide views toward Wales, and the Hell Steps climbed twice.

Minimum age: 18

Race format notes:

• Two laps of the half marathon route
• Runners must start lap 2 within 3 hours of their race start or will be withdrawn
• Approximately 9 feed stations across ~26.4 miles and ~1200m elevation gain
