Chris Coleman wanted to avoid the 'England circus'

Wales national team manager Chris Coleman has dismissed all pre-match chatter ahead of today's crunch group B clash against England as "small talk" and insisted the Red Dragon have to focus upon the task in hand.

Wales face England in a 2.00 kick-off in Lens, in a match which could define the group.

In his pre match comments this week, Coleman admitted he and his side did not want to see England come out of the draw when the Euro 2016 groups were decided, because of the "circus" which surrounds England.

"England came out of the hat and we didn't want that because of the circus that comes with England," said Coleman.

"It's not their fault, it's just the way it is, but here we are. It's a good game for us and a great game for them," he added.

Coleman also touched upon the comments made earlier in the week by his star man Gareth Bale, who elluded to a view that not many of  the England players would make it into the current Welsh starting XI.

"One of ours has said something that one or two of the English boys don't like...maybe vice-versa, it's irrelevant. As soon as that whistle goes both teams will be at it.

"It's going to be a typical British game i'd imagine, it'll be physical, be aggressive. There's quality in both teams so i'm looking forward to a real good game of football," Coleman added.
