George Ford "seems really happy" at Bath - Todd Blackadder

Bath's Director of Rugby Todd Blackadder insists George Ford is happy at the Recreation Ground, despite being linked with a move away.

Ford, who was named vice captain as part of Blackadder's re-shaping of Bath, has been subject to speculation regarding his satisfaction with life in the West Country since his dad, Mike, was sacked towards the back end of a disappointing last season for the Blue, Black and White.

"I would like to yes (he will stay for the long term)", Blackadder said.

"There are a few things I cannot say, because I would be breaching confidentiality, but he seems really happy.

"He is enjoying himself and I just want to focus on the week-to-week stuff. George has got a two (year) contract but I honestly have not focused on that.

"If George is with us for a year, or two years, we will enjoy that and make the most of it. But I certainly hope he will stay with us."

Ford's contract expires at the end of next season while dad Mike has recently been named boss of French outfit Toulon.
