Matt Banahan ruled out for three months with knee injury
Bath Rugby winger and England international Matt Banahan will be out of action for the next three months.
The 29-year-old has picked up a PCL (Posterior Cruciate Ligament) injury that means he will not feature again until at least February of 2017.
Director of Rugby Todd Blackadder said:
"He came on (against Harlequins) and felt a pop at the back of his knee but carried on and the scan reveals he has done his PCL.
"So he will have to have surgery and we are probably looking at three months.
"It is (a massive blow) he has been playing pretty well but fortunately Robbie Fruean is not too far away so at least we can cover."
