Team Bath's Eilidh Doyle qualifies for 400m hurdles final

Eilidh Doyle secured her spot in Friday's 400m hurdles final as one of the best runners up in the semi-final.

Doyle initially finished third in her heat after dropping off a bit near the end which led to Jamaican Janieve Russell to snatch second and therefore an automatic place in the final.

Thankfully, however, Sage Watson of Canada's time in the third and final heat was slower than Doyle's 54.99-second run and the Brit qualfied ahead of Watson.

The final will be at 2:15am on Friday morning.
