Tom Dunn signs long-term contract extension at Bath Rugby

Local lad Tom Dunn will be a Bath Rugby player for a long time to come as the hooker has signed a long-term deal to remain at the Recreation Ground.

Dunn, who is Bath-born, has been with his hometown club since 2012, had one loan out at London Scottish in 2014 and scored a try on his debut for the Blue, Black and White.

He revealed that the decision to sign on with the club did not take much time to come to fruition.

"I did not really think twice about staying with Bath. This is my hometown club, and I am immensely proud to have extended my contract. I am really excited about the future at Bath and want to play my part in taking us to the next level.

"I also think this is the best place for me to develop my skills and move forward with my career.

"The focus that the coaches give to individual development is key to that, and I am looking forward to continuing to push for the starting shirt against the talented hookers we have in the squad at Bath."

Director of Rugby Todd Blackadder heaped praise on Dunn after he put pen-to-paper on the new deal: "Dunny is a great player to have in the squad.

"He works hard, is focused on developing and being the best player he can be, and being a local guy he really cares about the club.

"He has really impressed the other coaches and me since the start of the season with his attitude, and performances on the pitch and in training, so we are delighted he as agreed to commit to the club long term."
