Designed for learners with some previous watercolour experience, this inspiring five-week studio course provides the opportunity to build confidence, refine existing skills and explore new approaches to painting in a supportive and creative environment.

Through practical exercises, tutor demonstrations and individual guidance, you’ll develop your understanding of colour, tone, texture, composition and brushwork. You’ll explore techniques including washes, glazing and layering, experiment with texture and expressive mark-making, and work with light, shadow and visual balance.

The course also encourages you to develop your own ideas and artistic style, working across a variety of subjects and approaches. By the end of the course, you’ll have produced a range of finished paintings demonstrating your developing skills.
