National Champagne Week at The Pump Room & Roman Baths

The sound of a champagne cork popping is one of life’s finest sounds. Join The Pump Room for Searcys' week long celebration of one of the oldest and most famous Champagne houses around, Lanson.

National Champagne Week is back with seven splendid days of bubbly events and promotions planned at the Roman Baths, Pump Room and Roman Baths Kitchen.

Since 1760, Lanson, a traditional family winemaker, has been making some of the finest Champagne known to man and remains one of the oldest holders of the Royal Warrant.

From everyday aperitifs to rare vintages, the Lanson family of champagnes offers a range to suit different tastes. And all share that unmistakeable stamp of freshness that lies at the heart of Champagne Lanson’s style.

Lanson Champagne Tasting Duo

Date: Available 1-7 October

Love Lanson and can’t decide whether to have the famous Black Label or the Rosé? Well this duo allows you to have both. Enjoy a 75ml taster glass of the Lanson Black Label Brut NV and a 75ml glass of the Lanson Rosé Brut NV paired with complimentary nibbles.

Lanson Champagne Brunch

Date: 1-7 October, from 9.30am to noon

Enjoy brunch with a chilled glass of Lanson Champagne - two poached eggs, a lightly toasted muffin and hollandaise sauce with Scottish smoked salmon, served with a 125ml glass of Lanson Black Label Brut NV and a pot of loose-leaf tea or a pot of coffee.

Price: £18.95 per person


Lanson Champagne Afternoon Tea

Date: 1-7 October 2016, from noon to close

The Pump Room's signature afternoon tea served with a glass of Lanson Rosé Brut NV.

Includes a selection of tea sandwiches, poached salmon shot and crispbreads, Cheddar scone with tomato and chive cream cheese, homemade scones with cream and jam, fresh fruit tart, chocolate and coffee opera cake, raspberry choux, macaroons and a pot of loose-leaf tea or coffee.

Champagne Tasting Dinner

Date: Friday 7th October 2016, from 7.30pm

An exclusive Champagne Lanson tasting dinner at the Roman Baths.

Searcys Bath have teamed up with historic Champagne producer Lanson to offer a unique Champagne tasting dinner in one of the finest ancient sites in Northern Europe – the Roman Baths.

For one night only guests will be able to enjoy a lavish Champagne cocktail reception followed by a sumptuous four-course dinner with each course expertly paired with a glass of Champagne from the Lanson collection.

The evening will be hosted by Champagne Sommelier Marie Boularand who will be sharing her expert knowledge and enthusiasm for this wonderful drink. Learn about the history of Lanson through to the present day and discover how it became one of the world’s biggest Champagne producers.

Places for this special dinner are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
