World Heritage Day at The Roman Baths

18 April is International World Heritage Day - Step into the story of Bath and celebrate everything that makes this city truly special!

Join The Roman Baths at the Bath Guildhall from 11am–3pm for a day of free, family-friendly fun as you explore what makes Bath a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This year’s theme is the Social Aspect of Bath – from grand gatherings to everyday moments, discover how people have shaped the city across centuries.

Expect a lively mix of hands-on activities, crafts, and fascinating stories from some of Bath’s best-loved heritage and cultural organisations. Meet the teams behind places like the The Roman Baths, Victoria Art Gallery, Bath Abbey, No. 1 Royal Crescent, Cleveland Pools and more – all bringing Bath’s rich history to life in their own unique way.

Get creative with craft activities, try object handling, and enjoy plenty of interactive experiences for all ages. Keep an eye out for the brilliantly entertaining Natural Theatre Company, who will be roaming in costume and adding a playful twist to the day.

There’s even more to discover, including:

  • Talks running throughout the day from local heritage experts
  • Guided city walks led by the Mayor’s Guides
  • Special features marking five years since Bath joined the Great Spa Towns of Europe

Whether you’re a local or visiting for the day, it’s the perfect chance to dive into Bath’s past, meet the people who care for it today, and celebrate its place on the world stage.

Drop in, get involved, and see Bath in a whole new way.
