Archaeology Adventures - Easter Holidays

A family-friendly add-on session at the Roman Baths where children can dig for replica Roman artefacts and learn archaeological skills in a hands-on excavation activity.

Dates: 7 April 2026 to 10 April 2026
Time window: 11.00am to 1.00pm

Archaeology Adventures gives children the chance to explore Roman remains and experience an excavation-style activity at the Roman Baths. Participants can dig for replica Roman artefacts in a special trench and learn how archaeologists identify, record and reconstruct finds.

Sessions: available at 11.00am and 12.00pm

Important information:

• This activity is an add-on to a Roman Baths visit; a Roman Baths admission ticket and a separate Archaeology Adventures ticket are required.
• Museum entry should be booked at least one hour before the session start time to allow time to reach the Great Bath.
• Meet the Roman Baths Learning Team by the Great Bath at the start of the session.
• After the session, re-entry to the museum is permitted to continue exploring.
• Recommended age: 6–12; children must be accompanied by an adult.
• Spaces are limited and advance booking is strongly recommended.
