October Half Term Activity: Matchbox Stories

A half-term creative writing and book-making session inspired by William Beckford’s gothic novel ‘Vathek’, held inside Beckford’s Tower in Bath for children aged 5–12.

Come to Beckford’s Tower, where the writer William Beckford housed his collection and had two libraries. Children are invited to be inspired by the gothic novel ‘Vathek’ (published in 1786) and create their own book.

The session takes place inside the Tower, where the architecture of the spiral staircase may stir a creative or imaginative mind and work its way into each story.
