Bath Rugby teams up with BlaBlaCar

Bath Rugby and BlaBlaCar, the largest ride sharing network in the UK and Europe, have joined forces to provide supporters with a car share scheme.

Those already driving to matches can now offer their empty seats when travelling to home or away matches to other fans who will contribute towards the fuel costs. The scheme recommends a price for the journey for each passenger.

Supporters who don't have a car can now search for drivers already driving to matches to make the journey with them. They will contribute to the driver's fuel costs, but it remains a super cheap way of getting there and it's more fun.

"With many of them already driving, and with sky high travel costs, this scheme makes a lot of sense for our supporters " said Jamie Warren, Bath Rugby Marketing Manager.

"We anticipate this will help cut the cost to get to matches, reduce the impact of traffic on the local community and not to mention the obvious environmental benefits of a few less cars on the road!"
