Family Fun Run 2018 Opens for Entries

The Bath Half Family Fun Run 2018 is now open for entries and with an additional 200 entry spaces added to the 2018 event it is set to be the biggest fun run the race organisers have held to date, allowing for a total of 1400 runners to take part.

The Family Fun run is open to all ages and abilities and takes place immediately after the start of the half marathon, starting and finishing under the main gantry in Great Pulteney Street. The Family Fun Run course is ¾ mile long and completely traffic free. Runners use the first section of the half marathon course, running down Pulteney Road to North Parade Road before turning and running back again.

There is a free t-shirt for every entrant and a medal and goody bag for all finishers.

Participants in the 2018’s Family Fun Run will be invited to fundraise for the Bath Half Marathon Community Fund, with all proceeds also being ring fenced for the local Action Against Child Poverty Campaign.

Race Director, Andrew Taylor said “The Family Fun Run is a great event and is open for people of all ages and abilities to take part. It is a fun opportunity to find out what it is like to run a little bit of the course too. This year we decided to increase the number of entries to 1400 because we know that lots more people really wanted to take part last year but we simply ran out of spaces. This year, we are encouraging runners to raise money for the local Action Against Child Poverty Campaign.”

The Bath Half Family Fun Run 2018 takes place on Sunday 4th March. Entries can be completed online at www.bathhalf.co.uk/entries
