Sewing for Absolute Beginners Course at Bath College

A practical evening course designed to build confidence in sewing, from basic machine skills to creating your own garment.

Start your creative journey with the Sewing for Absolute Beginners course at Bath College, designed for those completely new to sewing.

This hands-on course takes place in a relaxed and supportive environment, helping you build confidence and independence while learning essential sewing techniques. You’ll be guided through basic machine skills, seam finishing, fastenings and simple pattern cutting, with plenty of one-to-one support along the way.

By the end of the course, you’ll apply your new skills to create your own project, working towards making a basic skirt that fits.
