Trollbead Lamp-Worker visits Fabulous to Celebrate International Day

Saturday 6th June is officially International Trollbeads? day. A day set up to celebrate and thank the millions of dedicated people who choose to wear Trollbeads every day as a part of their personality, wardrobe and life story.

Each individual glass bead requires intricate lamp-working skills and techniques involving heating a combination of coloured glass rods in an intense heat of between 600 and 800 degrees Celsius.  Layers of coloured glass are then melted one over the other, spinning in the intense flame, to create the intricate patterns and designs for which Trollbeads is renowned. The completed Trollbead is lined with a robust and narrow solid sterling silver core which makes the bead extremely durable.

To mark the occasion designer jewellery retailer, Fabulous has created a unique opportunity for its customers to see how Trollbeads are made by having a Trollbeads lamp-worker in its Southgate store for the day on Saturday 6th June to create personalised beads for its customers.    All beads hand made for customers on the day will then be sent away to have the silver core finished at Trollbeads.
