HOUSE OF ST JOHN’S WINS ‘ONE TO WATCH’ AWARD

We were honoured to be awarded the ‘One to Watch’ award at the Bath Property Awards on the 4th November. Surrounded by some of the City’s most talented property professionals, our team celebrated this huge achievement in style at the Apex Hotel.

The judges’ feedback was that the House is a ‘Clever model, distinctive place, using the property for societal good; an impressive addition to the Bath business world; initial vision achieved, with much to come.’

What makes the House ‘One to Watch’? Well, we are uniquely driven by removing the limitations that members of our community face. Few people realise that behind Bath’s wealthy veneer, there is extensive child poverty. The House helps facilitate societal change by donating 100% of profits to our charity partner, St John’s Foundation, to improve the lives of disadvantaged children across Bath and North East Somerset.

By establishing ourselves as a social enterprise, we have innovation, respect and integrity at the heart of all we do, and we’re proud to say that we’ve already started to build a community of like-minded, driven professionals who want to eradicate social injustice in our area. The House of St John’s prides itself on its exclusive offering while also ensuring an inclusive environment.

For me, it proves that all our efforts in the last nine months have paid off and that our community really understands what we are trying to achieve here. We have people’s attention now and I can’t wait to show them what’s still to come.’

As well as winning the ‘One to Watch’ award, we were delighted to see those that worked closely with us to create the House pick up an award. MEA won best consultancy for their contribution to the House’s project management, contract administration and quantity surveying.

It is our aspiration to galvanise the commercial and charitable worlds into coming together to enact positive societal change, creating a mindset that will ultimately improve our community.
