About the Authors

Jessica Bull lives in South East London with her husband, two daughters, and far too many pets. She’s addicted to stories and studied English Literature at Bristol University, and Information Science at City University, London. She began her career as a librarian (under the false impression she could sit and read all day), before becoming a communications consultant.

Her debut novel, MISS AUSTEN INVESTIGATES is published in 18 territories worldwide and was shortlisted for the Crime Writer’s Association ILP John Creasey First Novel Dagger award. Since then, she has published three more Austen-inspired mysteries: SENSE, SENSIBILITY AND SCANDAL, THE AUSTEN CHRISTMAS MURDERS, and PRIDE, PREJUDICE AND PERIL.

Katie Lumsden is a writer and freelance editor from London, with a passion for nineteenth century novels. She has a degree in English literature and history from the University of Durham and an MA in creative writing from Bath Spa University. Her YouTube channel, Books and Things, has more than 38,000 subscribers. Katie’s debut novel, THE SECRETS OF HARTWOOD HALL, was shortlisted for the HWA Debut Crown Award. Her second novel, THE TROUBLE WITH MRS MONTGOMERY HURST, is a love letter to Jane Austen and Elizabeth Gaskell, and her third novel, THE CHRISTMAS TREE MURDERS, is her first foray into crime fiction.
