‘Hybrid’ live gigs announced for Komedia Bath

An exciting series of live gigs has been announced at Komedia Bath in partnership with Fuelled By Cider & Midnight Mango. Running from November to January, the gigs will feature high profile headline and support acts and offer the choice of live audience attendance or a full production live stream to watch at home.

The series of four events kicks off on Friday 27th November with Bristol reggae / hip hop heavyweights Laid Blak, supported by festival favourites Mr Tea and The Minions. The following gigs will feature the likes of Neville Staple from The Specials and Komedia veterans Mad Dog Mcrea. All gigs will be seated and strictly limited in number, to fully comply with Covid-19 safety guidelines.

Each event will also be live streamed by the venue with a full production, multi-camera experience. You can watch this from the comfort of your home or preferred place with a ticketed link. These unique shows will also be broadcast to venues around the country, providing high quality content on big screens to socially distanced audiences.

The programme is a collaboration between Komedia, local gig and festival promoters Fuelled By Cider and booking agency Midnight Mango, supported by a National Lottery Funded grant from Arts Council England. As well as providing a high-quality night of live music for the public to enjoy, it will also bring much needed employment to sound, stage and hospitality workers at Komedia and associated venues. The live music and entertainment industry is currently facing huge challenges and events such as these are a positive part of the solution.

Tickets to attend these events in person will each cost £15, whereas the streaming option will come in at just £5.
