This autumn, a new exhibition on display in the Upper Gallery will highlight the links between Sir Edmond Elton's Elton ware and the collections star pieces of Studio Ceramics.
Putting their often unseen collection of Elton ware alongside the studio ware will help to illustrate the links between two seemingly opposite styles. Elton's pioneering work with glazes and short production runs can be seen as an early precursor to the way Studio ceramicists later worked.
This is part of the Pioneering Pottery scheme - three new displays showcasing some of the best modern studio pottery in south-west collections.
