Remembrance Day Service - Bath Abbey
Join Bath’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations on 8 November 2026, honouring those who served and remembering those who lost their lives in conflict.
The morning wreath-laying service at Royal Victoria Park War Memorial runs from 10.45am–11.30am. In the afternoon, the Remembrance Parade takes place through the city centre from 1pm–2pm, followed by a service at Bath Abbey from 2pm–3pm.
On Armistice Day, Wednesday 11 November 2026, people are invited to gather outside Bath Abbey for a silence at 11am to reflect and pay their respects.
Remembrance Sunday - Chippenham Town Centre
Join Chippenham’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations on 8 November 2026. Members of the public are asked to gather opposite the War Memorial in the Market Place from 10.45am, ahead of the Act of Remembrance and two-minute silence at 11am. The traditional parade down the High Street will follow.
Please allow plenty of time to arrive, as viewing areas can become busy from around 10.20am. A reserved area near the memorial will be available for veterans and serving personnel; speak to the Town Council’s event staff for assistance.
On Armistice Day, Wednesday 11 November 2026, an Act of Remembrance and two-minute silence will take place outside Chippenham Town Hall. Please gather no later than 10.50am.
Bath Field of Remembrance
Join the Bath Field of Remembrance at Abbey Churchyard on Sunday 1 November 2026. The event offers an opportunity to come together, pay your respects and reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who lost their lives in conflict.
