BOUDAVIDA GIVES BACK TO WOMEN’S SPORT

Women’s activewear brand Boudavida is excited to announce the three new beneficiaries set
to receive the brand’s first donations for 2019. For a period of six months, Boudavida will be
supporting Hannah the Runner, Nova Sports & Coaching and Wasps Ladies. Frustrated by the
lack of commercial investment into women’s sports in the UK, Boudavida has pledged to
donate 5% of sales to projects that support women’s sport.

For the last six months Boudavida has helped Lea Rowing Club develop their growing and successful female squad, Anna Tunnicliff, a womens and girls’ cricket coach who runs an incredible grassroots programme, and After Breast Cancer, a charity supporting women with breast cancer to keep fit before, during and after treatment.

Boudavida’s Founder and CEO, Anabel Sexton, was delighted to be able to make donations to such worthy projects, ‘We always try and find projects where our donation is going to make a difference. We are not interested in being a tiny donation to a huge project. We always look for the smaller projects where our involvement will really move things forward.’

Now they will work alongside three new projects: Nova Sports and Coaching, an inspiring disability charity that is looking to develop its women and girls wheelchair basketball and tennis programmes; Hannah the Runner, an amazing woman who’s running project aims to inspire a love of running amongst teenage girls; and finally Wasps Ladies, an up and coming women’s rugby club which needs funding for medical supplies and new training equipment.

Both Nova and Hannah the Runner are Bath based initiatives, continuing the brand’s mission to grow a network around the city which hosts their first bricks and mortar store.

All of Boudavida’s customers - whether instore or online - get the opportunity to choose which project they want Boudavida to support when they complete their purchase, and are kept up to date with the progress of the beneficiaries through social media and email updates.

Boudavida wants to ensure that money from the sale of women’s products goes directly back into women’s sport and exercise. They want to help create role models and communities of women and girls who believe as they do that sport and exercise is a vital part of living a healthy, happy life. In short, Boudavida want to create a virtuous circle that supports the women and girls who will one day inspire the next generation of women and girls to get active.

Boudavida have received high profile support for their mission from prominent figures in women's sport such as Clare Balding, Dame Kelly Holmes, Amy Williams, Heather Fell and Kim Murray, all of whom can be spotted wearing and showcasing the brand.

Boudavida creates activewear that all women can feel confident and comfortable in. The range, which comes in sizes 8-18, has been conceived by real women for all women and is designed to flatter and suit the female form, encouraging women to be the best, most active versions of themselves.
