Summer Beauty Trends '13

The beauty trends for summer 2013 can only be described as a rainbow of pure colour. With top designers such as Chanel, Michael Kors and Moschino showcasing an amazing array of colourful nails, lips and eyes during their Spring/Summer 2013 collection shows.

I have searched the high street to bring you some of my top nail and lip products in this season’s hottest colours.

Lips

Pop some colour on to your lips in a bright red, pink or coral for the summer season. Stick to high pigmented colours and think matte finishes for high impact. If you are going for a rich colour make sure you use lip liner to prevent the colour bleeding. Remember, if you are opting for the statement lips keep your eye makeup simpler.

Nails

Paint pot nails are everywhere. Think bright colours in high shine finishes. Try alternating nails for an extra splash of colour or dipping the tips in metallic glitter to add some glam factor. For neat nails - don’t apply all the way to the cuticle. Leaving a small gap keeps your nails looking tidy and gives them a professional finish.

Don’t forget your eyes, keep them simple and striking. Use bright colourful eye liners in aquamarine or magenta, or for a less colourful option stick to the faithful cat eye flick. If are feeling fearless then try a coloured mascara to complete your look.
