THE ROYAL CRESCENT HOTEL & SPA RAISES £1000 FOR JULIAN HOUSE AT MIDSUMMER SUPPER

Last month, we celebrated Midsummer with a twilight supper in our private walled gardens. Full of the joys of Midsummer, the evening was a great success, raising £1000 for the Julian House charity.

Guests enjoyed a sumptuous evening starting with drinks in the beautiful gardens, followed by a five course summer-inspired meal, enjoying the sound of an acoustic guitar with the faint popping of Taittinger Champagne corks in the background. Champagne was flowing, feet were tapping and tastebuds were tingling as guests sampled the finest British Summer produce.

Created in conjunction with The Pig Guide, all proceeds from the event have been donated to the Julian House charity, which is an initiative that we are very pleased to support as it works to directly help those most marginalised in society. With over 40 projects operating throughout the South West, from social enterprise to supporting those with learning difficulties, Julian House’s work helps to change the lives of some of society’s most vulnerable individuals.

In echoes of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, nature took centre stage, enhanced by the moonlight and light from traditional lanterns, provided by Crescent Flowers, that were hung around the gardens. Stunning creative centrepieces were donated by The LANE Floristry. The truly magical atmosphere was made even more enchanting by the strums of guitarist, Pat McIntyre.

The five-course tasting menu created by our Executive Head Chef, David Campbell, celebrated traditional British fare and seasonal summer produce to create a culinary journey that was the epitome of gastronomic delight.
