Naomi Southwood of Islington Motor Group shares her October plans!
OCTOBER is here! It’s Q4 and one of the key business moments is, of course, Halloween (or at least for some businesses).
Today we’re talking to Naomi Southwood who is Senior Sales Executive and Fleet Specialist at Islington Motor Group in Trowbridge.
What’s coming up for your business in Q4?
We are having an exciting showroom update this month so keep your eyes peeled for more news on this coming soon.
October represents several awareness months. Are there any that are relevant to you or your business?
Breast cancer awareness month is very close to my heart due to a family member recovering from the disease in the last 12 months. Cancer affects all of us and the more awareness we can generate for men and women to be checking themselves regularly the better. Islington Motor Group have signed up to Wear It Pink on 20th October, follow our social media accounts to see the results!
Are you doing anything in October for charity or for a community or volunteer project?
I really enjoy playing hockey, I normally play as a forward but unfortunately am injured, however, I will still be volunteering at an upcoming tournament for my team
Did you know October 10 was World Mental Health Day. How important is this subject in your business and in your life?
Within the business, mental health is important as we believe our working environment is a positive place for everyone.
In my life, mental health is extremely important, and having had relatives with mental health problems in the past, it’s a matter close to my heart.
Some ‘quirky’ moments this month are:
- Apple Day – Oct 21
- Pumpkin Day – Oct 26
If any of these resonate with you – tell us why? Do you have a huge collection of handbags for example? Do you love or hate pumpkins?
As much as I love Autumn and getting into the Halloween spirit with my nieces and nephews, I’m not a fan of pumpkins, I can’t stand the smell of them or carving them
Clocks go back this month and we get an extra hour in bed. How do you see ‘time’ in your business?
My time within our business is valuable to maintain the excellent level of customer care we provide while also ensuring we achieve our goals as a team and as an individual.
Have you got any services or special offers you’d like to mention?
We always offer fantastic deals across the full range of new and used vehicles that we sell, our attention to providing excellent customer service is what sets Islington Motor Group apart from the rest.
And finally, tell us one thing you love about the autumn/winter months?
I love taking Autumn walks in the woods or down the canal with a hot drink. It’s also a great time for celebrations with my birthday and Christmas coming up.
